The Bark of The Town

Let me begin by saying this was the 1st experience we’ve ever had as far as an emergency visit for one of our pets. Our precious little Chewy had been being treated by our local vet for an eye puncture (ulcer) for the last two weeks. but healing was not progressing as hoped. We were sent immediately to Veterinary Vision Center on Friday afternoon for surgery with an ophthalmologist specialist for pets. Dr. Kenneth Pierce and his staff were amazing! After preliminary information and paperwork were complete, Dr. Pierce came out and explained every step of the procedure in great detail and what to expect. He then called us himself (not a technician) when surgery began and afterwards when surgery was complete. We went to pick Chewy up the next morning fully expecting one of the technicians, but Dr. Pierce met us with Chewy’s packet and meds and took a full ten to eleven minutes to speak with us and fully explain in great detail, including drawings, the procedure. This gave us the reassurance we needed and clarified our decision to make the 1 1/2 hour drive for surgery. He then advised Chewy would be out shortly. Again, we expected one of the techs to bring our little guy out, but no, it was Dr. Pierce again  … I can’t fully explain how much it meant to my husband and I that a doctor of this caliber would take the time and be so personal with us. Who does that anymore? I can tell you … Dr. Kenneth Pierce!!! He is AWESOME!!! And his staff, too!!!
